How not to get banned on a forum: 7 rules for crowd links
Most removed links are removed not because of the link itself, but because of how the message is written.
Moderators see ads every day and recognise them within seconds. For a message to stay, it has to be useful even without the link.
Seven rules
- Read the forum rules. On many forums links are only allowed after a certain number of posts.
- Use an account with history. New profiles with a link in their very first post are removed first.
- Answer the actual question. The link should complement the answer, not replace it.
- Don't use a keyword anchor. A brand name or the site address looks more natural.
- One link per message. Two or more are almost always seen as advertising.
- Don't rush. Several posts from one account within an hour look suspicious.
- Keep an eye on the thread. If the author replies, continue the conversation.
What to do if a link was removed
Don't post again in the same thread. It's better to find another discussion on the same forum a few weeks later or move to a similar site. In our orders, links removed within 90 days are replaced for free.
