Why crowd links don't get indexed and what to do about it
The link is placed, but the search engine doesn't see it. We look at the reasons and ways to speed up indexing.
Technical
Not every page with a link gets indexed right away. Indexing depends on the site itself, the page depth and how often the search robot visits it.
Main reasons
- The page is blocked from indexing by robots.txt or meta noindex
- The thread is buried deep and has no internal links pointing to it
- The site is rarely updated, so the robot visits once every few weeks
- The message is still in moderation and isn't visible to guests
What you can do
- Choose sites where new pages appear in search quickly
- Post in active threads that are already indexed
- Wait 3–4 weeks before drawing conclusions: some links get indexed with a delay
TipWe check the indexing of every link 30 days after placement and mark its status in the report.
